Having conceived the construction of their dream home, the owners consciously approached the issue of choosing a location. They were faced with two seemingly impossible and contradictory tasks: the house had to be located within the boundaries of Kyiv and at the same time - in nature. As a result, the task was completed 100%: the house is located within Kyiv, in the Konyk CG, has a Kyiv address and all city communications. At the same time, the house is located next to the Zhukov Ostrov nature reserve, in a rural town located on the banks of the Dnieper tributaries - the Konyk and Vita rivers.
The property consists of a main house of 505 sq. m and a guest house of 217 sq. m.
The main house is in the English style. The third floor—the spa area and guest house of the master’s house—is dominated by the Moorish style. Unique author’s design.
The house has five bedrooms, a spacious living room, a dining room, three kitchens, including a tea kitchen in the bathroom, and four bathrooms. The cladding is made of clinker brick, and the paving is made of concrete and granite.
Guests are greeted by a front door adorned with Tiffany stained-glass windows. The house's interior doors are made according to a specially developed design and are sheathed in wood by Italian craftsmen. All floors are made of polished ash, laminated using European techniques. The first two floors are white ash, covered with a matte varnish, while the third floor is covered with blue paint in blue tones with a golden patina and finished with a matte varnish. In total, approximately 2,000 square meters of natural wood were used for interior decoration.
For the walls, they chose a modern English classic style. All wallpapers are custom-made in Italian factories. The living room, dining room, and bedrooms are covered with patterned wallpaper with matching curtains made of the same fabric. In the other bedrooms, unique hand-made wallpapers are used. Flowers and birds are painted on the wallpaper by hand with brushes and matched to specific room standards to create realistic images in the interior. Due to the complexity of the texture and pattern of the wallpaper, it was pasted by representatives of an Italian factory.
The third floor of the house is designed in the Moroccan colonial style, which Yves Saint Laurent himself loved, and adapted to modern interior luxury. The bathroom is lined with handmade Italian tiles, hand-painted by Moroccan artisans. It took over seven months to create. The walls and ceilings of the remaining rooms are decorated with openwork wood panels, each carved and finished by hand. Instead of plain windows, original stained-glass windows are installed here, which harmonize with the stained-glass chandeliers.
The home's plumbing is manufactured and sourced from the best factories in Italy and is covered by a 50-year warranty. There are two bathrooms with bathtubs: one made of cast stone, the other of cast iron from the latest collection by the Italian brand Petracer, surrounded by tiles from the same manufacturer. The bathroom also features a two-person spa bath with therapeutic air and hydromassage.
